CARATTERI GOTICI

I solenni e cadenzati caratteri gotici che inaugurarono l'arte della stampa, nel corso dei secoli sono rimasti presenti nelle dotazioni delle tipografie, essendo una delle pietre miliari dell'estetica tipografica, benché nei libri siano stati presto sostituiti dai più ritmici tipi romani. Nei cataloghi delle fonderie, fino alla prima metà del Novecento, sono stati presenti nelle diverse accezioni stilistiche, a partire da quelli, fedeli al severo impianto quattrocentesco insieme a quelli più elaborati, filettati e decorati.

The severe stateliness of this Gothic type cast in the nineteenth century, which belonged to Maurice Darantière, is lightened by the inside decorations. Ornate gothic type
The condition of these type is new, since they have not been used yet. Questo gotico riccamente decorato mostra le lettere perfettamente intatte non essendo ancora stato stampato.
