THE DESIGN AND CASTING OF THE TYPE
These rare original photographs were taken in the 1960s by Bruno Garavoglia, who worked as a photographer at Nebiolo Foundry, Turin. They show the phases of movable type production, from design to casting. This procedure was the same with all 20th-century big foundries, which included an in-house design studio similar to the one at Nebiolo.

CREAZIONE E FUSIONE DEL CARATTERE
In queste rare immagini originali (scattate negli anni Sessanta da Bruno Garavoglia, fotografo della Nebiolo) sono documentate le fasi della produzione dei caratteri mobili, dalla ideazione alla fusione. Le stesse procedure accomunavano tutte le grandi fonderie del Novecento dotate, come la Nebiolo, di uno studio artistico interno.
